The CAMERON STEAM SATURDAY ACADEMY & CULTURAL ARTS PROGRAM is a free, community-based program that provides exciting opportunities for students in grades K to 12 to explore, discover, and learn outside the traditional classroom; to uncover their passion, gain motivation, and become lifelong learners.
Saturday mornings students engage in hands-on, interactive, and fun learning explorations in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. The program is student-centered and uses a social and emotional learning approach to teaching. Our Youth Social Worker is a part of the Saturday Academy team.
In the afternoons, students participate in cultural arts programs such as: dance (Caribbean, African) Step, Capoeira, Guitar, Boxing, Yoga, Piano, Painting, Screen Printing, Sewing, Drama, Spoken Word, Cooking, Photography, Positive TikTok Challenges, and Etiquette classes.
FIELD TRIPS, designed to introduce students to various cultural experiences in and around Rochester, occur monthly.
A light breakfast, lunch and snack are provided.
PARENTS are invited to partner with us in our programming to provide input, volunteer, and chaperone field trips. If you are Interested in sharing your time and talents to teach a class, please let us know!
