The Teen Center

The Teen Center, an extension of the After School Program, serves teens grades 7-12th. This program strives to bridge the academic and social-emotional achievement gap that teens living in poverty face. It is a safe place for teens to go after school and in the summer. In addition to social and recreational programs, teens receive academic support through guided homework assistance and tutoring as well as leadership and life skills to promote individual growth. 

Built in 2019, the Teen Center features a full kitchen, a laundry facility, a TV lounge, a large open rec space with a stage, meeting rooms and homework stations equipped with computers and wi-fi. A minimum of two staff are on site when open, and the entry is camera-monitored and secured with an intercom system.
